My name is Brian Heinrich.  I am 41 years old and a life long resident of the state of Oregon.  I was born and raised in Hillsboro and graduated from Glencoe High School in 1993.  I attended both Oregon State University as well as Portland Community College.  I have always enjoyed working, and after two years of college, decided I wanted to join the workforce full time.   I chose a career in truck sales.  It has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

I am single. I have never been married nor do I have any children. My parents live in Yamhill County and my brother and his family live in Dallas, OR. I am an impressive son, brother, and uncle by any standards. While I would like to have a family of my own, that option has yet to present itself. Until then, I continue stay busy working and doing things for friends and family. My hobbies include, home improvement projects, traveling, and visiting theme parks.  I am a Christian and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hillsboro.

I have always been very politically minded, but had never thought of going into politics until last summer.  The drastic shift we have seen in our nation and government over the last several years bothered me to the point that I decided I must do something.  Like many of you, I have sat on the sidelines as I have watched our country lose its identity and purpose.  We have failed to keep the trust of our allies, and we have lost the respect of our adversaries.  Our elected leaders have incurred trillions of dollars of debt with no consideration as to how it will be paid.  Our freedoms continue to get trampled on by representatives in D.C. while they extend rights and privileges to non-Americans.  We have entitlements that are on the verge of collapse, yet there is no sense of urgency to create a resolution.  After seeing what has become of this great nation that I love so dearly, I decided I must act.

I have lived in Oregon’s Congressional District 1 my entire life.  In that time, never has a Republican been elected to represent this areas residents in the US Congress.  While we have had some strong and talented individuals take our demands to Washington DC, I believe we need a representative that looks through the eyes of the citizens, and not the political elite.  I am not a politician. I am just an Oregonian who cares deeply for his state and his nation. That is why I am running for US Representative of Oregon’s 1st District.

  1. Dear Brian

I am filling in my ballot slowly as to not get overwhelmed. Today I decided to decide on 2 in a row. While reading up on the US representatives I found a letter you had written to a voter asking for your stance on abortion and military spending. I read it and almost cried. Then I realised you aren’t running in my district. I just wanted to write and encourage you to keep it up and I hope you get in.
    In Christ Alone,
